SGPC postpones annual Sikh Religious Studies Correspondence Course examination

Amritsar, January 25, 2022: The annual examination conducted by Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee’s (SGPC) Dharam Prachar Committee (DPC) for the two-year Sikh Religious Studies Correspondence Course which was scheduled to be held on January 28 and 29, 2022 has been postponed.
SGPC’s DPC additional secretary Dr. Paramjit Singh Saroa said that an annual examination related to the Sikh Religious Studies Correspondence Course is conducted by the DPC, which was scheduled to be held on January 28 and 29.
“Due to COVID-19 pandemic following the government’s restrictions the schools and colleges have been closed. In such circumstances, it is not possible to examine the schools and colleges for the Sikh Religious Studies Correspondence Course”, said Dr. Paramjit Singh Saroa.
He said that this examination has been postponed for the time being and whenever new instructions are issued by the government to open the schools and colleges, the next dates will be announced.
