Paramjit Pamma
Chandigarh, June 24, 2016:
Interpol has withdrawn arrest warrants against Paramjit Singh Pamma. As per the Interpol’s Red Notice, Pamma, who is living in UK since 1999 as refugee, was arrested in Portugal in December 2015. The Portuguese government had turned down India’s request to extradite him, says Sikhs For Justice here.
Pamma is accused of the murder of RSS chief Rulda Ram in 2009 and twin blasts in Patiala, in 2010.
According to a communication from the Commission For the Control of Interpol Files “after a careful study of all the elements in its possession, the Commission concluded that the data registered in Interpol’s files concerning Mr Singh was not in compliance with Interpol’s rules. Following the Commission’s recommendation, these data were deleted from Interpol’s files,” stated attorney Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, legal advisor to Sikhs For Justice.
