Dr Navjot Kaur Sidhu
Amritsar, July 26 - Chief Parliament Secretary of Health with the Punjab Government Dr. Navjot Kaur Sidhu who is also MLA of BJP from Amritsar said that her husband Navjot Singh Sidhu whatever has said in the Press conference in Delhi on Monday, she stands with him.
Talking to media today, Kaur said that her husband had accepted Rajya Sabha nomination with the hope that he would get privilege to serve the people of Punjab but when he saw all door were shut for him for Punjab then decided to resign.
She said that when he was MP from Amritsar, his all the programs and developmental projects were scuttled willfully even the flyover construct with the budget of Rs. 18 crore in his tenure in the constituency, was sidelined at the time of inauguration, since Sidhu was not asked for inauguration as done by others.
Kaur said that when he became MP from Amritsar, he left his hometown Patiala forever and made house in Amritsar, since his only motive was to serve the people of Amritsar and nothing else.
When asked about her next course of action after the resignation of her husband since still she was with the same BJP party, said that let first her husband announce his next course of action.
When asked about the meeting of her husband with AAP leader in Delhi, she expressed her ignorance.
On being asked her meeting with the rebel Akali MLAs Inderbir Singh and Pargat Singh who were recently suspended from the party, she said that this is democracy; anyone can meet anyone since there was no such law which prohibits anybody to meet someone.
