Chandigarh, July 27, 2016:
Haryana government has suspended one Sub Divisional Officer-cum-Deputy Director, Jind, one Veterinary Surgeon of Government Veterinary Hospital and one Veterinary Livestock Development Assistant (VLDA) of Animal Husbandry and Dairying Department for dereliction of duty which resulted in death of 20 valuable animals belonging to 18 poor farmers in village Nidana, district Jind.
A spokesman of the Department said that those who have been suspended included Sub Divisional Officer-cum-Deputy Director, Dr Ranjit Singh Malik, Veterinary Surgeon, Dr Rajinder Singh Thind and VLDA Mr Bijender Singh.
He said that meanwhile, Dr Ravinder Narwal, Sub Divisional Officer, Safidon has been entrusted with the additional charge of Deputy Director-cum- Sub Divisional Officer, Jind in place of Dr Ranjit Singh Malik.
The charge of Government Veterinary Hospital (GVH), Nidana has been entrusted to Dr Rajbir Chahal, Veterinary Surgeon, Government Veterinary Hospital, Sindhwi Khera in place of Dr Rajinder Singh Thind.
Meanwhile, Haryana Animal Husbandry and Dairying Minister O.P. Dhankar has expressed his concern over the death of 20 cattle at village Nidana in district Jind recently.
He has also announced to give immediate financial assistance to their owners out of his discretionary fund. The Minister said that Rs 25,000 would be given in case of each dead buffalo and Rs 10,000 for each deceased calf.
