Ghanshyam Thori inaugurates recently beautified Verka Chowk
Ludhiana, 22 October, 2016: The Municipal Corporation Ludhiana under the supervision of its Commissioner is giving new facelift to the roundabouts and markets of the city. Verka Chowk has been renovated under this programme. The chowk has been beautified by Indian summer restaurant. The inauguration was done by MC Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori and Deputy Mayor RD Sharma. The Additional Commissioner Surabhi Malik was also present.
The MCL has handed over main chowks of the city to various private companies for their beautification and maintenance so that city chowks and roundabouts should look more beautiful. The work on this chowk was going on since the last few months and it has been opened now.

Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori told that under beautification plan they have started beautification of the city chowks & roundabouts and now gradually the beautification is getting completed. He disclosed that before Diwali two more chowks namely Jalandhar bypass chowk and sherpur chowk will also be completed.
MD of Indian Summer Sahil Kansal told that they had taken up this chowk for giving their contribution in the city beautification plan and earlier, they had got graffiti done at Jagraon Bridge. He told that they would continue doing such types of social activities for the city. (APS Brar 9814313405)
