It may be recalled here that a unique project has been introduced by Amit Kumar to trim the distance between farmers and customers .i.e. seller and the buyer. Farm to Home is a platform for the farmer to sell & consumers to buy fresh product directly from farms without any inter mediator at best price.
It is a major issue concerned with the farming community of the state as well as with the common people. The farmers of Punjab, who are in search of marketing avenues for their produce, since the last many decades will certainly get benefit from this mechanism invented by the IAS officer.
According to observers this project will bring much required relief for the farming community and the common public. Both are being exploited by the middle man. Farmers need market & people need fresh material at reasonable price. Both will gain from this project.
