Ferozepur, January 19, 2017: Every Congress worker will work to win elections for his prestige and honour, said Ravinder Singh Bittu, MP Congress Ludhiana and grandson of former Chief Minister, Punjab Beant Singh during his stop-over at Ferozepur after filing of his nomination papers at Jalalabad as Congress candidate.
Congress High Command has fielded Bittu from Jalalabad to give a hard-hitting fight to Sukhbir Singh Badal sitting MLA from Jalalabad and Bhagwant Mann, MP Sangrur as AAP candidate.
Bittu was given a warm welcome by the youth workers led by Gurbhej Tibbi, State Secreary.
Bittu said, for the sake to get rid of Akali-BJP government, the people of Punjab are now aware of the anti-people policies of the government. On asking about the delay in campaign, he said, the leftover days are sufficient.
He appealed to all the Punjabis to come forward to support the Congress to win and defeat the Akali-BJP to save the youths from the atrocities and excesses by the government,
While it will be a challenge for Sukbir Badal, at the same time, it will not be an easy task for Bittu and Mann.
