SAD releases first list of 26 candidates for DSGMC elections
New Delhi, Feb 5, 2017: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) Delhi unit today released the first list of candidates for the elections of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC).
The list includes the names of the incumbent president Manjit Singh GK and secretary Manjinder Singh Sirsa. It also includes all the five incumbent DSGMC office bearers and 18 sitting members. The names of the remaining 20 candidates would also be released shortly, informed Parminder Pal Singh, the party spokesperson.
GK has been named candidate from Greater Kailash whereas Sirsa would contest from Punjabi Bagh. Mahinder Pal Singh Chadha from Pitampura, Satpal Singh from Tree-Nagar and Amarjit Singh from Fateh Nagar are the other prominent candidates.
Other prominent candidates included senior Akali leader Kuldip Singh Bhogal from Jangpura, Harmanjit Singh from Rajouri Garden, Manjit Singh Aulakh from Vishnu Garden, Harjit Singh Pappa from Sham Nagar, Daljit Singh Sarna from Tilak Nagar, Iqbal Singh Shera from Janakpuri, Onkar Singh Raja from Malviya Nagar and Harinder Pal Singh from Geeta Colony.
Other sitting members given tickets included senior leaders Avtar Singh Hit from Hari Nagar, Onkar Singh Thapar from Shiv Nagar, Harmeet Singh Kalka from Kalkaji, Ravinder Singh Khurana from Sarup Nagar, Captain Inderpreet Singh from Model Town, Harvinder Singh KP from Shakti Nagar, Paramjit Singh Rana from Dev Nagar, Paramjit Singh Chandok from Rajindera Nagar, Tanwant Singh from Ramesh Nagar, Gurmeet Singh Meeta from Uttam Nagar, Kuldip Singh Sahni from Safdarjung Enclave, Kulwant Singh Bath from Navin Shahdra and Jatinder Pal Singh Goldy from Khurezi Khas.
