Fatehabad, March 23, 2017: Haryana Education Minister, Ram Bilas Sharma said that a committee of Vice-Chancellors of three universities has been constituted to conduct student union elections and a decision in this regard would be taken after receiving report of the committee.
Interacting with mediapersons at Fatehabad today, Sharma said that the State Government was committed to meet the shortage of teachers in the State. He said that about 20,000 regular teachers were being recruited by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission.
He said that after the commencement of ensuing academic session, desks for students would be provided in all government schools by August. Instructions in this regard have already been issued to officers concerned, he added.
Sharma also met the journalists who were injured during agitation in Fatehabad and said that the State Government would compensate them for the loss suffered by them. Criticising the attack on mediapersons, he said that such incidents have no place in a democratic set up.
