Navjot Sidhu Occupies CM's seat in Punjab Assembly
Chandigarh, March 24, 2017: Punjab Cabinet minister and first time MLA Navjot Sidhu on Friday occupied the seat meant for Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh while the oath-taking was on in the State assembly on Friday.
Sidhu, hurriedly sat in the first seat in the front row of the treasury benches meant for the CM which was vacant after Capt Amarinder left the Assembly hall at about 3.22 pm. Otherwise his seat was at no 3 after CM and Brahm Mohindra .
The Assembly staff was seen speaking with Sidhu, after which he left the seat occupied by him.

Although Sidhu is a first timer in assembly but he won three Lok Sabha polls and used to attend Parliament proceedings . He should have knowledge of parliamentary traditions.
Navjot Sidhu, when confronted by media persons , could not give any satisfactory answer.
The first session of the newly constituted 15th Punjab Assembly commenced on Friday. The oath-taking by the newly elected MLAs was listed as the only item of the Assembly business on the opening day of the four-day session.
