New Delhi, March 30, 2017: The Supreme Court has reserved decision on the issue of banning liquor vends along the highways.
The petitioners are seeking modification of the apex court's December 2016 order banning liquor vends within 500 metres of state and national highways across the country from April 1.
Punjab is among the state petitioners besides liquor vendor associations which have approached the top court.
It was also ordered that licences of existing shops will not be renewed after March 31 next year.
