BSF troops handed over Pakistan nationalist on humanitarian grounds.
Gurdaspur, April 25, 2017: (By Manan Saini) BSF troops on Tuesday handed over one Pakistani National, who inadvertently entered into Indian territory in Gurdaspur sector on Tuesday, to Pak Rangers on humanitarian grounds.
According to information given by Deputy Inspector General R S Kataria during wee hours at about 3.30 am BSF personals found one Pakistani nationalist identified as Nishar Ahmed Ansari (55) son of Mohammad Ansari Resident of P V kotli PO- Nainakot (Pakistan).
Investigations revealed that he had crossed the international border of Indo-Pak inadvertently and entered into the Indian territory.
He said later Pakistani Rangers were contacted and apprehended Pakistani National was handed over to them at about 4 pm being on inadvertent border crosser on humanitarian grounds.
Kataria further said that during the year 2017, till date 06 Nos of Pakistani inadvertent border crossers (including this) have been handed over to Pakistan Rangers by Border Security Force, Punjab Frontier.
