Chandigarh, April, 25, 2017: Students For Society (SFS) on Tuesday organised a protest rally against fee hike and recent brutal crackdown by UT police on Panjab University (PU) students.
Despite prevailing atmosphere of fear and terror in the campus, students gathered in large numbers to raise their voice against gross injustice being meted out to them in the form of fee hike and suppressing their voices by inflicting violence on the protesting students.
SFS leaders, Harman and Raman who were granted anticipatory bail today addressed the students. "The claims of VC are false that only a small number of students are protesting against fee hike," said SFS general secretary Satwinder Kaur.
Research scholars took out a protest march against fee hike and police crackdown on Monday.
"A large number of students marched today and a 'walk for education' is being organised by Solidarity Committee on Wednesday," she added.
