Former Speaker Ravinder mobilising support to make viable front

Bathinda: 21 July, 2017: Akhand Akali Dal 1920 has started preparing for the coming SGPC elections. Its President, Ravinder Singh a former Speaker of Vidhan Sabha have launched a campaign to mobilise youth and religious bodies to make a joint front to fight the SGPC elections.
Speaking with babushahi, Ravinder Singh said “Akhand Akali Dal 1920 will fight in alliance with other like minded bodies and make a joint front with panthic organisations to liberate the SGPC from the control of the Badals in the upcoming SGPC elections”. We are mobilising Sikh youth and religious personalities to join hands. The Sikh youth will play an important role in this regard.
Ravinder Singh said “We will be requesting great Sikh personality Baba Sarabjot Singh Bedi to lead this front as a patron. Discussions are being held between various organisations to make a viable alternative to Badals”. People have rejected the Badals in the last elections and they have been placed at the third spot. Akali Dal has never faced such thrashing defeat in the elections in the history. Its anger of the masses against the Badals, he said.
Ravinder Singh also announced a Sikh student federation unit of the party. Daler Singh Doad has been appointed as Punjab president, Gurlal Singh Fazilka general secretary, Charanjit Singh spokesman, Kuldeep Singh Malwa zone in-charge, Harpreet Singh joint secretary and Satnam Singh Muktsar as district president. Ramandeep Singh of Bhangchadi joined Akhand Akali Dal along with his supporters. Earlier, he was in SAD.
Earlier, Ravinder Singh along with Former Damadama Sahib jathedar Balwant Singh Nandgarh and other workers held a meeting at Guru Arjan Dev Gurdawara sahib in the city.
