Full dress rehearsal would take place on august 13
Jalandhar : July 20: (APS Brar) Deputy Commissioner of Jalandhar Varinder Kumar Sharma has ordered to constitute various committees for Independence Day celebration at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium in district level function.
Presiding over a meeting along with ADC (D) Girish Dyalan, DCP Rajinder Singh and all the departmental heads here at District administrative complex, Deputy Commissioner said that various contingents of BSF, CRPF, Punjab Police, NCC (Boys and Girls) would grace the occasion with march past and district sanik welfare officer has been deputed as nodal officer to coordinate with other armed forces.
Besides that a cultural committee under the ADC would decide the cultural items to be performed by the students of various schools. It was also decided to install CCTV cameras at the stadium, which would be connected with control room to keep an eye on all the activities.
Deputy Commissioner has also asked the DCP to prepare a detailed route and parking plan to avoid any kind of inconvenience to general public due to the function at Guru Gobind Singh stadium. In the meeting, civil surgeon was asked to depute a special medical team at the stadium as the rehearsal would be started from august 5, in which hundreds of students from various schools would be the participants.
On August 13th, the full dress rehearsal would take place.
Deputy Commissioner has also directed the departmental heads to submit the list of employees, social activists with the PGO branch at assistant commissioner (G) office, who made remarkable contribution towards the society by their services. These employees to be honoured during the Independence Day function. He also instructs the departmental heads to ensure the participation of employees working under them. District revenue officer has been deputed as the nodal officer for the same.
