Ferozepur, July 22, 2017: Amid the standoff between China and India over a disputed territory in Bhutan, political activists, educationists, and service organizations a call is given for a boycott of Chinese goods in the country.
The political activists, educationists and civil society groups are already giving a call for a boycott of Chinese goods in the country, the BJP workers too would persuade the traders not to sello China-made goods.
In this context, the Ferozepur Unit of Bharti Lok Sewa Samiti today in its meeting decided to educate the people of the border towns to boycott Chinese goods by launching a campaign, said Dharampal Bansal, founder of the Samiti.
He said, we will persuade the shopkeepers in the rural and urban areas of border district not to sell Made-in-China goods.
The Samiti will also approach the government to direct the customs officials not to clear consignment from China.
An older timer of the city Darshan Lal said, Since the boycott is likely to affect the economy of the China, it will definitely come forward for dialogue across the table to settle the border issues with India, in case all the Indians made their mind not to purchase a single item of Chinese made.
On this occasion Manoj Nagpal, Kamal Kalia, Balwant Singh, Raj, Rajesh, Praveen, Ram Sarup, Upkar Singh, Harjinder Singh and many more were also present on the occasion.
