Punjab CM deputes ministers for district wise supervision of welfare schemes

Chandigarh, August 19, 2017: Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has deputed its ministers to monitor public welfare schemes for their effective execution at the ground level.
The government has issued a letter to the ministers concerned about the purpose and the district allotted to them. They have been asked to keep an eye on the MNREGA, Atta-dal, Old-age, Widow Pensions and Ashirwad schemes among others.
Under this governance initiative, Health Minister Braham Mohindra will look after Ludhiana, Moga and Jalandhar districts wheras Local Government Minister Navjot Sidhu will be in charge of Amritsar and Tarn Taran districts.
Similarly, Dorests Minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot has been given the responsibility of Patiala, Fatehgarh Sahib and Mohali districts, Rural Development Minister Tript Rajinder Bajwa of Gurdaspur and Pathankot district, Power Minister Rana Gurjit of Kapurthala and Jalandhar districts.
Finance Minister Manpreet Badal will supervise the schemes in Bathinda and Mansa districts, Technical Education Minister Charanjit Channi in Faridkot, Fazilka and Muktsar districts, Education Minister Aruna Chaudhary in Hoshiarpur, Ropar and Shahedd Bhagat Singh Nagar districts and Social Security Minister Razia Sultana in Sangrur and Barnala districts.
