Jalandhar, September 12, 2017:
The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the Guru Nanak Dev University has signed an MoU with National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) Mohali. The objective of the MoU is to join hands for research in development of new drugs and update students on latest developments in field of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
The MoU was signed by in the presence of Prof. (Dr). Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Kamaljit Singh, Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. K.S. Kahlon Registrar, Prof. Narpinder Singh Director Research, Prof. S.S. Chimni Professor-Incharge PR and other senior faculty members of both institutes, Dr. Preet Mohinder Singh Bedi, Head & Coordinator University Industry Linkage Programme signed this MoU of behalf of the University while Professor Raghu Ram Rao, Director , NIPER, Mohali signed on behalf of NIPER.
Both institutes agreed to develop synergetic collaboration and academic programmes in area of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Beside this, institutes agreed to develop research programmes for funding by National and International Agencies. Dr. Preet Mohinder Singh Bedi, Coordinator University Industry Linkage Programme said that University has been working for past many years in providing quality education to the society and reiterated the commitment of becoming center of excellence in Pharmaceutical Sciences and research.
