Pakistani Punjabi writer Afzal Ahsan Randhawa is no more
Chandigarh, September 19, 2017: Famous Pakistani Punjabi writer Afzal Ahsan Randhawa has passed away. He was a resident of Faislabad.
He was a poet, story writer and novelist who remained in active touch with the Punjabi literary fraternity in India. He also visited and participated in literary functions in Punjab and Chandigarh.
Punjabi Sahit Sabha has mourned his death.
He was a lawyer by profession.
Punjabi writer Gurbhajan Gill informed that Randhawa was born at village Kyampur in tehsil Shakargarh which was part of Gurdaspur before the Partition. The most of Randhawa’ books were published by Deepak Publishers, Jalandhar.
GHis death has caused an irreparable loss to Punjabi literary world, said Gill.
