Court records Phoolka’s part statement in defamation case against Tytler
New Delhi, December 16, 2017: The Patiala House court on Saturday partly recorded the statement/examination-in-chief HS Phoolka in the case filed by him against Jagdish Tytler for having made derogatory allegations and threat to kill.
In a press statement, Phoolka said that another witness Avtar Singh Dhindsa was also present to depose against Tytler, but his evidence could not be recorded on Saturday.
The matter was listed before the court of Samar Vishal, ACMM.
Phoolka recounted that in a TV show aired on NDTV, Tytler had called him a blackmailer and accused him of fleecing money from the widows of 1984 anti-Sikh riots in Delhi.
The case was adjourned to January 6, 2018 for further recording of statement of Phoolka and for further proceedings
