Textile and Apparel exports jumps 20% after brief decline period
New Delhi, Jan 12, 2018: The Textile and Apparel exports have registered an increase of 20% after a brief period of decline.
As per data published by Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence and Statistics (DGCIS), the turnaround in exports including handicraft segment was observed every month beginning May, June, July and October 2017.
The overall 20% increase is marked by jump of 24% in Readymade Garments, 24% in Cotton, 9% in Man Made Textiles, 17% in Silk Products, 28% in Handloom products, 11% in Carpets and 10% in Jute Products.
