Jalandhar, February 13, 2018: The Department of Journalism & Mass Communication of CT Institute of Higher Studies commemorated World Radio Day by organizing an interactive session in the premises of the CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur campus.
The session began with floral felicitations of a renowned private FM station headed by Mrs. Seema Soni, Programming Director, accompanied with two Radio Jockeys namely RJ Rajan and RJ Himanshu.
Soni conducted the session about voice culture, script writing and qualities of becoming a successful Radio Jockey along with discussing the scope of radio industry in future.
She elaborated on the techniques of sound editing, production of jingles and advertisements. The workshop was conducted primarily to understand the different genres of radio and their growing importance in the present scenario. She also traced the history of radio and discussed the growing trend of radio in India especially the private radio channel.
Both Radio Jockeys shared their struggle period and the journey in the radio industry and encouraged students to take the line with utmost sincerity and focus.
Vishal Gotra, Assistant Professor of Journalism department , Dr. Seema Arora, Principal of CTIHS were also present on the occasion. She congratulated the department of Journalism & Mass Communication for organising the workshop and expressed that such workshops provide practical exposure to students which help them to shape their future career prospects.
