Anindita Mitra in a new role

Chandigarh: 21 February, 2018: A well-known bureaucrat, Anindita Mitra has assumed a new role at the state hierarchy. She had joined as Director of Information and Public Relations, Punjab today afternoon. She is a first woman IAS officer who has been posted as DIPR.
Anindita Mitra was recently posted as DIPR besides Director of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs. Earlier, she has served on various field postings such as SDM Kapurthala & Ropar, ADC (D) Patiala, and Deputy Commissioner of Nawanshahr and Hoshiarpur. One of the celebrated officers of state, Anindita Mitra has shown her competence and standard of governance on all the posts, wherever she worked.
Recently, Anindita Mitra was much-admired for the best paddy procurement process as she was a nodal officer as Director Food and Civil Supply to coordinate and oversee the procurement. Members of Punjab Vidhan Sabha have appreciated the role of Director and Principal Secretary of Food and Civil Supply department.
Anindita Mitra, an engineering graduate in computer science belongs to 2007 batch of IAS cadre.
