Arvinde Kejriwal meeting AAP MLAs from Punjab at Delhi on March 18,2018
New Delhi, March 18, 2018: As many as 10 AAP MLAs from Punjab have endorsed the decision of the party's national Convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to tender apology to Akali leader Bikram Majithia and unconditional withdrawal of drug trade allegations.
The meeting was held the residence of AAP Punjab affairs incharge and Deputy Chief Minister Delhi, Manish Sisodia here on Sunday.
This was announced after the meeting by Leader of Opposition Sukhpal Khaira and MLA from Kharar Kanwar Sandhu. This decision was taken out of resentment against the apology by Arvind Kejriwal to Akali leader Bikram Majithia in defamation case.

The MLAs present at the meeting included Kultar Singh Sandhwan, Amarjeet Singh Sandoya, Rupinder Kaur Ruby, Baljinder Kaur, Jaikishan Singh Rori, Harpal Cheema, Budhram, Sarabjit Kaur Manuke, Aman Arora and Manjit Singh.
After emerging from the meeting, MLA Baljinder Kaur said they were satisfied with the central leadership's rationale behind the apology decision. She termed the decision as strategic.
Besides these MLAs, the zonal incharge of the party in Punjab are also present in the meeting. They included Kuldeep Dhaliwal of Majha Zone, Paramjit Singh Sachdeva of Doaba Zone, Anil Thakur of Malwa Zone 1, Gurditt Singh Sekhon Malwa Zone- 2 and Dalbir Singh Dhillon Malwa Zone- 3.
Notably, 15 out of total 20 AAP MLAs were part of the AAP Legislature Party meeting at Chandigarh a day before in which it was decided to ask the central party leaders to come to Chandigarh on Sunday March 18.
Some of the MLAs present in Delhi meeting were also part of this decision. But they changed their decision overnight and rushed to Delhi for the meeting.
The decision not to attend the Delhi meeting was announced at the news conference at Chandigarh by Leader of Opposition Sukhpal Khaira and MLA from Kharar Kanwar Sandhu.
