Amit Shah appoints Avinash Rai Khanna as party incharge for Goa
Chandigarh, March 19, 2018:
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President, Amit Shah, has appointed party National Vice-president Avinash Rai Khanna as the party incharge of Goa with immediate effect. A seasoned leader, Khanna already is the organizational incharge for the states of Rajashtan and Jammu & Kashmir.
Khanna forayed into social service with Sewa Bharti and subsequently entered into politics. He was chosen an MLA from Garhshankar and became the Legislative Group Party Leader of BJP in Punjab Assembly. He grew in stature and went on to become the president of Punjab BJP. Khanna represented Hoshiarpur in the Lok Sabha and was also elected as Rajya Sabha MP from the state.
Union Minister and Punjab BJP President, Vijay Sampla, Vice-president, Harjit Singh Grewal, and State Secretary, Vineet Joshi, have extended their heartiest congratulations to Khanna for his new role.
