Earlier, funds have been got sanctioned from the MP, KTS Tulsi for providing facility of Mobile Science / Computer Lab for the students, said the MLA while adding that these efforts were being put in to provide best of the infrastructure in the education sector so that the students could be enable to face the challenges of the present era of rapid strides in the field of science and technology.
The MLA lauded the efforts of the district education department and school teachers for achieving excellence in the academic, sports, science competitions at national and state level. He assured that he would continue to strive hard for mobilising resources for providing ultra modern facilities to enable the teachers and the students to scale new achievements.
The District Education Officer, Vinod Kumar, in his address, said that the Atal Tinkering Lab would not only help the students to innovate and explore in the field of education but it would also enable them to tap the educational and vocational avenues in the present era of globalisation. It would also help them to generate self employment avenues. He assured that the optimum utilisation of the available sources as well as infrastructure facilities would be ensured to bring in qualitative improvement in the education. The District has bagged second position in " Parho Punjab, Parhao Punjab" project and has been leading in implementing the schemes and programmes launched by the government for the welfare of the students.
Sanjiv Duggal, Incharge, Atal Tinkering Lab, with the help of the projector, made the audience aware about the aims, objectives and prospectus of the Lab in detail. District Science Supervisor, Surinder Pal Agnihotri, Principal, Sarbjit Singh and Guneet Kaur, Lecturer also addressed the gathering.
Prominent personalities including PPCC General secretary, Rana Kuldip Singh, MC Chief, Lalit Mohan Pathak ( Ballu), former Market Committee Chairman, Chaman Singh Bhanmazara, Congress Leaders Bhuwandeep Sharda, Sourav Sareen were present on the occasion.
