Newly elected Punjabi MPPs in Ontario government

Toronto, June 8, 2018: This time 7 Punjabis, who have won the Ontario Provincial Parliament elections held on June 7, 2018, contested the provincial Assembly polls for the first time.
The list of these winners is as under :
Prabhmeet Singh Sarkari from Brampton South, Amarjot Singh Sandhu from Barampton West, Param Gill from Milton, Neena Tangri from Mississauga, Deepak Anand from Malton (all from PC Party) and Gurratan Singh from Barampton East, Sara Singh from Brampton Centre (both from NDP).
The Progressive Conservative Party led by Doug Ford swept the polls by winning 76 seats. The NDP stood second by winning 39 seats whereas the Liberal Party was pushed to poor third who could only win 7 seats. The Green Party won one seat.
