Blood Donation Camp Organized at Banga To Mark World Blood Donors Day
Nawanshahr, June 14-
With a view to promoting "Mission Tandarust Punjab" the Health Department organised a blood donation camp at Banga to commemorate world blood donors day, today.
Dr. Sukhwinder Singh Heera, District Family Welfare Officer, while terming the blood donation as important to save precious lives of the human beings, said that the noble gesture of a donor could save the lives of four persons.
He said that the health department has geared itself up to make Tandarust Punjab mission successful in letter and spirit. The mission Tandarust Punjab is aimed at providing pollution free environment, safe drinking water to focus on physical and mental health. Anyone can get his/her check up free of cost with requisite clinical tests on every Saturday at Primary Health Centers and Community Health Centres. Similarly, if someone needs treatment of de-addiction, he can contact Out Patient Opioid Assisted Program Clinics situated at Nawanshahr and Balachaur.
