"Principals'Committee on Education Reforms" submits suggestions to Education Minister

Mohali, June 14, 2018: The "Principals Committee on Education Reforms", constituted by the Chief Minister, Capt. Amaninder Singh, has submitted it's suggestions to the Education Minister, Om Parkash Soni, under the stewardship of the Education Secretary, Krishan Kumar, today.
It is worthwhile to mention here that the main objective of constituting a committee of the dedicated principals, was to have their valuable and practical suggestions as well as feedback about the various projects initiated recently to bring in qualitative improvement in school education, so that the reforms in education sector could be made more effective at the cutting edge level.
According to sources, the committee, in its report, has submitted suggestions on various aspects of school education, including infrastructure development, community mobilisation, enhancement in enrollment , ensuring proper coordination between education and social security and social welfare departments for pre primary classes, on going activities under Parho Punjab, Parhao Punjab project, strengthening of monitoring of schools, rationalisation for ensuring optimum utilisation of human resources, transfer policy, responsibilities of school heads, review of curriculum, examination system, e content, smart classrooms, teacher training, role of DIETs, coordination between different components of the education departments, Media cell, Action Research Cell etc.
