Work related to road safety be completed on special priority: DC Ambala
SDMs to check out all school vehicles after summer holidays in their area

Deputy Commissioner Mrs Sharandeep Kaur Brar instructed the officers to complete the tasks of their departments related to road safety on special priority. She said that but by doing so, they would make a significant contribution in securing the lives of people who die in road accident every year.
Mrs Brar was presiding over the meeting of Road Safety Committee in her office on Friday. She instructed the officers of the Public Works Department to complete the work on the main roads where there is a need to lay the soil on necessary repair or burm etc. She said that the number of road accidents increases because of the flaws in the roads.
She also directed the officials of the National Highways Authority to complete the shortcomings of all the National Highways related to the boundary of the district.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed the officers of the forest department to repair the tilted trees along the roads and the officials of the power corporation should also repair the tilted electric rocks. She said that all the SDMs of the district should organize camps to give information and make aware about traffic rules to the students after summer holidays in schools in their area and motivate them not to drive in fast and haste.
She said that visit summer holidays schools which use the vehicle to bring and carry children. In addition to the necessary documentation of these vehicles, the Hon'ble Supreme Court should examine the related aspects of the compliance of rules prescribed for school vehicles. He also said that the schools in which the vulnerabilities are found in the vehicle should also issue notice to fulfil these flaws in the prescribed period.
Apart from this, she instructed the officials to invoice the vehicles carrying more loads of capacity on the roads, carrying goods carrier vehicles, and using them for riding purposes. She instructed the corporation authorities to remove the debris of the building materials and buildings kept unauthorized on the roads and also challan the people who did not do so.
She instructed the officers of the Public Works Department to keep intact the white strip and jabra crossing on the roads. Apart from this, other topics related to the deployment of complaints on CM window, Harpath, Twitter and apprenticeships to the students were discussed in the meeting.
On this occasion, Superintendent of Police Abhishek Jorwal, ADC Capt. Shakti Singh, ASP Rajesh Kumar, SDM Subhash Chandra Sihag, Virendra Singh, Satender Siwach, Municipal Chief Sushil Kumar, Joint Commissioner of Police Gagandeep Singh and other relevant officials were present.
