Ludhiana, June 20, 2018: In a major push to the people-friendly initiative, The Punjab Government is set to launch National Generic Document Registration System (NGDRS) enabling online land registration facility at the all Sub Registrar offices of the district on June 22.
Divulging the details, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pradeep Kumar Agrawal said that the people can take an appointment for land registration at sitting their homes through the website www.igrpunjab.gov.in which is very simple, citizen-friendly with full proof cyber security in place.
He said that under this system, a person has to just go online and fill the relevant information regarding his immovable asset on the website to apply for registration of land. He told that the rates of land fixed as per collector rates would be available online.
Further, after completing the necessary formalities, a person would have the facility of fixing the appointment with the Sub-Registrar for the registration of land on the date of his choice, after which the registration would be finalized on that date.
He told that the system will reduce the hardship of the citizens as there will not need to visit the revenue and registration offices repeatedly hence the system will save their precious time and energy.
DC told that no registration will be carried out without the online system.
