Ludhiana youth dies in road accident in New Zealand
Auckland, July 11, 2018: A Ludhiana youth Parminder Singh Jabbal (28) died in a road accident near Tauranga city about 215 kilometres from here on Wednesday.
The youth died in the accident between a car and truck on the state highway 36 at about 4 am.
The deceased, who had come to New Zealand three years ago on study visa, was resident of Shivaji Nagar, Ludhiana. The truck driver was injured in the mishap.
His grief-stricken family told this correspondent that Jabbal was staying in the country on work visa at the time of his untimely death.
The accident took place when he was returning after duty from the hospital where he was working.
The deceased was the elder son in the family. He is survived by parents, two younger siblings including a sister.
The bereaved family, which runs a small business in Ludhiana, has appealed for financial aid and arrangements to transport the body to India.
