Each game will be promoted under the banner of District Olympic Association: Ghanshyam Thori
About 250 players from 12 districts are taking part

Deputy Commissioner Mr. Ghanshyam Thori inaugurated two synthetic badminton courts, giving a vital gift to make badminton players of the district more attractive in sports talent.
Deputy Commissioner Mr. Ghanshyam Thori inaugurated these two Synthetic Courts in order to promote the sports activities in the District, under the banner of District Olympic Association, followed the ceremonial opening of Sardar Gursharan Singh Memorial Ranking Badminton Tournament (Junior) and (Senior).
Expressing his happiness with the players, the Deputy Commissioner said that with the establishment of these new synthetic courts, the players' talent would definitely improve. He said that according to the Sports Calendar on behalf of the District Olympic Association, the players were encouraged to participate in different sports tournaments, under 'Tandarust Punjab Mission'.
He said that the work of providing quality sports platform to the players of this game would be continued. It may be recalled that a cheque of Rs 3 lakh was handed over to the District Olympic Association by the Deputy Commissioner to transfer the wooden court into the synthetic court last month.
In this tournament, about 250 players from 12 districts including Sangrur, Patiala, Barnala, Mansa, Mohali, Kapurthala, and Ludhiana are participating. He said that sports teach us to be disciplined and cooperative in every stage of life.
