MLA Dalveer Goldy and DC Ghanshyam Thori inaugurate sixth Sanjhi Rasoi
Sets goal to serve 5 lakh food plates annually in all sub-divisions
Move to provide nutritious food under Tandarust Punjab Mission

With the inauguration of sixth 'Sanjhi Rasoi' in Dhuri, district Sangrur has achieved the distinction of becoming the first district of the state to set up maximum number of " Sanjhi Rasoi" under the guidance of DC Mr Ghanshyam Thori.
Today, MLA Dhuri Mr. Dalveer Singh Goldy and Deputy Commissioner Mr. Ghanshyam Thori inaugurated the 'Sanjhi Rasoi' at Dhuri. Mr Goldy said that the unique initiative of supply of cheaper and nutritious food at a cost of just Rs 10 is a service of humanity and it would be continued.
Deputy Commissioner Mr. Ghanshyam Thori said that all 9 sub-divisions of the district would be equipped with the facility of ‘Sanjhi Rasoi' within one month. He said that a target of providing five lakhs food plates per annum had been set.
At 'Sanjhi Rasoi', on an average, 150 to 200 diets are consumed and 9 sub-divisions are expected to have 1400 food intake per day”, said Mr. Thori while adding that after launching 'sanjhi rasoi' at the sub-divisional level, the plan would also be implemented at Sub-Tehsil level so that more and more people could avail this benefit. MLA and Deputy Commissioner, praised SDM Dhuri Mr Amareshwar Singh for his effort.
