Ferozepur, August 16, 2018: A Pakistani national flag along with ten balloons had been recovered in the area of Fatte Wali Chowki from near Indo Pak border on the Independence Day, which purportedly flew in from across the international border.
It is learnt that the BSF sleuths while on the patrolling duty along the border, noticed a national flag of Pakistan measuring 2’x1.5 ft tied with ten balloons inside the Indian territory near Choki Fattewali had landed on Indian side due to the flow of the wind towards India.
As per the information, the intelligence department of BSF had been investigating into the landing of Pakistani balloons on the Indian side.
Prima-facie it seems like a celebratory balloon as Pakistan also celebrates its Independence Day on 14th August one day before the Indian side celebrations on August 15. However, nothing objectionable material or message has been noticed so far, the sources said.
In the past also, the Pakistani balloons had been spotted along the border villages, on Indian Territory.
