Chandigarh, August 18, 2018: “Youth should consider their weaknesses as the future opportunity to convert them into formulae for success in future” said Karan Bajwa, Managing Director, IBM India during his convocation address to the students at Chandigarh University Gharuan. The real experience is to learn the professional way of handling the tough situations in life with courage and zeal to come out as a winner Karan Bajwa added.
More than 1500 students which included 400 Post-Graduate students and 1100 Under-Graduate Engineering students of 2017 passed-out batch were awarded degrees during the convocation ceremony. The 4th annual convocation ceremony also saw awarding of Ph.D. (Doctorate of Philosophy) to 9 students who completed their Ph.D. degrees in different areas of Engineering. Moreover 18 University academic toppers were honored with Gold Medals by the chief guest during the ceremony.
While interacting with the students, Karan Bajwa added that, “Although this is a proud moment for all the students who have been conferred degrees today but the real test is yet come as you enter the world of reality where you would be on your own to face the stiff competition that exists in today’s fast world”. While giving the success mantra to the young graduates of the university, IBM Managing Director said, “Striving for Hard work, Creative Thinking and Following Ethics & Values in your life are the three important ingredients that can lead to success both in professional & personal arena”.
