Use of technology could provide better services: Veer Pal

The 12-day induction training program was started here for the newly deployed government employees in various departments of the district by the regional center of Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration (MGSIPA) on Monday.
Training program was inaugurated by Assistant Commissioner General Veerpal Kaur. 60 newly appointed government employees were participating in this unique program sponsored by the Personnel and Training Department of Government of India.
In this program, these employees will be assisted by experts from the issue of civil service rules, financial matters, office procedures, best audits and budgets, e-office, e-governance, citizen charter, Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, Land Revenue Act, Motor Vehicle Act, Municipal Act, The Arms Act, and the Cinematography Act, the Criminal Procedure Code, the Prevention of Corruption Act and the RTI Act.
While speaking about the importance of technology for better delivery of governance, Assistant Commissioner (General) Veerpal Kaur said that modern era is totally based on technology, which has provided new opportunities for training in all sectors and especially in the administrative services.
She said that with the use of technology we could provide better services to our people and this will also make the employees more professional to accept the challenges.
She asked all the participants of this program to take the maximum benefit of this training program so that they can serve the people more efficiently and effectively.
Veerpal Kaur advised the employees to share their feed back after the program was completed so that the problems could be overcome and program could be made more effective in the future.
On this occasion, Regional Project Director, Bathinda Mandeep Singh and coordinator Training Program, Magasipa Headquarters, Chandigarh, Mr. Jarnail Singh said that this up-gradation program started jointly by the DoPT of Government of India and MGSIPA and such programs will also be organized in other districts.
He also informed that special Chief Secretary of Punjab Government Mr. Sarvesh Kaushal and Director General of MGSIPA Raji Srivastava, personally monitoring these programs to make our employee more efficient in their office work.
