Chandigarh, September, 15, 2018: A delegation of Shromani Gurdawara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) and Delhi Sikh Gurdawara Management Committee (DSGMC) will visit Pakistan on the issue ofning Kartarpur Sahib corridor.
TV Channel News18 reported that the joint delegation proposes to meet Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Committee.
The decision assumed significance as the Badals controlled both Sikh bodies have been pushed to background on the issue since Congress Minister Navjot Suingh Sidhu's Pakistan visit.
Pakistan Army Chief had conveyed this decision to Sidhu during the latter's visit to atten oath taking ceremony of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Since then the Akalis led by Badals are percieved to be losing ground to the Congress on the Sikh religious affairs
Observers term it as a political setback for the Badals as their claim of being the only custodians of the Sikhs religious and political interests.
