Jalandhar, October 21, 2018: With the help of Strong performance of Raiders and Stoppers in the second half Haryana Lions able to beat Maple Leaf Canada by 60-43 in Global Kabaddi League at Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium here this evening. In second match of the day Singh Warriors Punjab beat Delhi Tigers by 65-37. With this win Singh warriors bagged 9 points from 4 outings. They lost only one match,where as Delhi Tigers not able to open their account after four outings.
In the first match of the day Maple Leaf Canada Players gave tough fight in the first half of the match to Haryana Lions. At the end of First Quarter the score was 13-13. At the end of first half score was 26-25 in favour of Haryana Lions. After changing ends, Haryana players changed their tactics. Their Raiders put pressure on stoppers of Canada and earned points at their will, Captain Vinay Khatri earned 17 and Ravi 15 points whereas Their stoppers Billa and Rinku bagged maximum points with their stops. At the end of third quarter score was 41-36 in favour of Haryana Lions. In the last quarter Haryana players dominated, at the end of stipulated time score was in favour of Haryana Lions 60-43. Canada’s stopper Ekam Hathur not able to perform well.
In the second match Delhi tigers once again failed to impress any one. They lost fourth match in arrow to Singh Warriors Punjab by 65-37. Singh warriors Manjot Singh and Ninni Gopalpuria dominated the proceeding from the start of the match. Their stoppers also performed well they gave not any chance to Delhi boys. At the end of First half Singh Warriors Punjab was leading by 30-19. In the second half Singh Warriors Punjab players earned points at their will. At the end of full time score was 65-37 in favour of Singh Warriors Punjab.
