Kartarpur Sahib Corridor May Play Important Role In Improving Relations Between India And Pakistan : Modi @Sukhbir's Residence
New Delhi, November 23, 2018 : PM Narendra Modi on Friday said that Kartarpur Sahib corridor may play an important role in improving relations between India and Pakistan . Giving example of East and West Germany , he said that who had thought that great wall of Berlin will fall one day. He said though governments and armies may be opposed to each other, it is people to people contact which shape the relations between the two nations. similarly Kartarpur Sahib corridor will play an important role in enhancing people to people contact between India and Pakistan.
Mr. Modi said that decisions taken by government on Kartarpur Sahib corridor and celebrations of 550th birthday of Guru Nanak Dev ji are In Fact blessings of Guru Sahiban and he considers himself lucky enough to serve the people with these decisions on this pious occasion.

Sukhbir Badal joined the Sikh community in expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for twin steps taken by the NDA government to establish the Kartarpur corridor as well as ensuring justice for 1984 genocide victim families by forming a SIT which reopened all cases closed by the Congress government.
He said the Prime minister has won the hearts of the Sikh community by taking the initiative to construct a corridor to Kartarpur Sahib in Pakistan besides a series of steps to commemorate the 550th anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji in a most befitting manner. “The manner in which the PM has stood by the Sikh community and addressed their demands is evoking worldwide appreciation world over”, he added.
Prominent those present on the occasion included former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and his wife Smt Gursharan Kaur, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. Hardeep Singh Puri. SGPC President Bhai Gobind Singh Longowal, DSGMC President Manjit Singh GK, General Secretary Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Dera Beas Head Baba Gurinder Singh besides others.
Former CM and Chief Patron of SAD Parkash Singh Badal was not present on this occasion.
