Punjab IAS Amit Dhaka joins as Special Secretary to Rajasthan CM

Jaipur, 20 February, 2019: One of the dynamic officers of Punjab, Amit Dhaka IAS has joined as Special Secretary to Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.
Amit Dhaka belongs to 2006 batch of IAS of Punjab cadre. Last week, the central government has approved a three year inter cadre deputation of Amit Dhaka from Punjab to Rajasthan.
Amit Dhaka hails from Rajasthan and is BSc and MBA. He has served Bathinda as Joint Commissioner of Municipal Corporation. He had also served as SDM of Abohar and Additional Deputy Commissioners of Amritsar and Sri Mukatsar Sahib. He has also served as Deputy Commissioner of Hoshiarpur and Mansa for long period, where he brought out qualitative changes in Public Grievances Redress system and implemented administrative reforms in the Mansa administration.
Recently, Amit Dhaka was serving as Secretary of Punjab Mandi Board. He has also been posted as Director Mining, where he has taken various initiatives to check the illegal mining activity in the different districts. He is credited with collecting crores of revenue by plugging the short comings and introducing new mechanism in allotment of mines. His efforts to curb the illegal mining have proved beneficial for state.
Amit Dhaka is gifted with an exceptional administrative acumen and a benevolent heart with concerned feelings for the people, where ever he goes. People like him are very rare in the administrative panorama.
He is memorized in Abohar and Mansa for his good work done to alleviate the problems & grievances of the common man. His biggest positive feature is the art to maintain bond and ties with ordinary man.
