Jalandhar, March 19, 2019: A great display of wonderful performances and breathtaking moments of cultural heritage through Dance numbers stole the show of Akhila Bharathiya Lok Kala Mahotsav 2019 at CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur Campus.
The event was a National level Dance festival organised by Department of Cultural Affairs, CT Group in association with North-Zone Cultural Centre, Patiala (Ministry of Culture Government of India), All India Folk and Tribal Arts Parishath under the scheme of National Presence Ministry of Culture at Sardarni Manjit Kaur Auditorium of Shahpur Campus.
Hassan Raghum Chief Coordinator, All India Festival Committee and Founder Secretary of Karnataka Sahasa Kala Academy, Nirmal Vaid, Chairman, All India Festival Committee, Charanjit Singh Channi Chairman, CT Group, Manbir Singh, Managing Director, Hapreet Singh, Vice Chairman, Dr. G.S. Kalra, Campus Director and Cultural Officer Davinder Singh inaugurated the event in the presence of other dignitaries, guests and students.
Ten teams from various states including New Delhi, Chandigarh, Uttrakhand, Varanasi, Rajasthan, Haryana, Himachal, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka and Kerala etc performed their cultural dance forms. There were splendid performances by the teams of various states like Rajasthan performed Bhawai, Himachal Pradesh- performed Sirmouri Nati & Lambra, Haryana performed Shiv Statuti, Punjab performed Bhangra, Jammu Kashmir- Kudd, Uttrakhand performed Jansari and Kerala performed Shingari.
More than 1000 students enjoyed the flavor of cultural dance performances.
Hassan Raghum Chief Coordinator, All India Festival Committee and Nirmal Vaid, Chairman, All India Festival Committee were awestruck with the beautiful performances by the artists at the event, and said that such kind of events groom the hidden talent of participants.
Manbir Singh, Managing Director, CT Group said that such events boost the confidence of the students and encourage them to come forward. The guidance of the teachers further sharpens their inborn talents.
