FIR Registered culprits absconding, role of police to be investigated

SSP Amneet Kondal said that police has registered FIR No.31 U/s 307, 452, 506, 429, 148, 149 IPC and Section 11 of Prevention of Cruelty against Animals Act 1960 at Police Station Bassi Pathana against Satinder Singh, Jatinder Singh sons of Hari Singh, Hari Singh and his wife Amandeep Kaur and one unknown person all resident of village Sikanderpur.
The victim Manvir Singh Dhindsa, a practising lawyer at Ropar, his father and their family servant were attacked with murderous intent by culprits for objecting to brutal killing of a stray bull.
No arrest has been made. Sources told babushahi.com that all the culprits have absconded allegedly due to delay in initiating police action.
The SSP said that enquiry is being conducted why the delay has been caused in registering the case and after verifying the facts the action will be initiated against the erring police official.
She said that SHO Bassi Pathana has been directed to conduct the raids to nab the culprits and they will be arrested soon.
