CHANDIGARH, MARCH 22, 2019: Returning officer Sanjiv Shukla announced that 20 candidates have today filed their nominations for various posts for the general elections of Chandigarh Press Club. Today was the first day of filing nomination.
Barinder S Rawat of Dainik Jagran filed nomination for the post of president while Rajinder Singh Nagarkoti of The Times of India and Saurabh Duggal of Hindustan Times have filed nominations for the post of secretary general. Some of the candidates have filed nominations for more than one posts.
Those who filed nominations are:
President: 1. Barinder S Rawat (Dainik Jagran)
Senior Vice President: 1. Ramesh Handa (Punjab Kesari), 2. Jaswant Singh Rana (The Tribune).
Vice President-I: 1. Neha Sharma (The Times of India)
Vice President-II: 1. Ramesh Handa (Punjab Kesari), 2 Umesh Sharma (News 18).
Secretary General: 1. Rajinder Singh Nagarkoti (The Times of India), 2. Saurabh Duggal (Hindustan Times).
Secretary: 1. Rajesh Dhall (Dainik Jagran), 2. Karnail S Rana (Punjab Kesari), 3. Mansa Ram Rawat (The Tribune), 4. Yashpal Singh Rawat (Times Now).
Joint Secretary-I: 1. Umesh Sharma (News 18), 2. Naveen Tyagi (The Times of India), 3. Amarpreet Singh (The Tribune).
