Chandigarh, March 24, 2019: Taking a serious note of the dereliction of duty, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Punjab on Sunday ordered suspension of Tehsildar (Elections), Moga.
CEO Dr S Karuna Raju informed that suspension was ordered immediately after receiving report from Deputy Commissioner, Moga that the election official was not performing his duty seriously.
Due to this, the reports to be sent to the Election Commission of India were getting delayed. Moreover, he remained absent from his office without permission of competent authority.
The CEO also ordered Tehsildar (Elections), Barnala to hold additional charge of Moga.
