Ludhiana, March 28,2019: After stirring taste buds of city residents with his burgers, Ludhiana street vendor is all set to stir area politics by contesting upcoming Lok Sabha polls. Bhai Ravinder Pal Singh fondly known as ‘Baba ji burger wale’ runs a small eatery at Model Town area of the city.
Poor civic amenities, increasing pollution levels and henceforth rapidly increasing cancer cases in Satluj belt of the state became the major factors that provoked Ravinder to enter politics.Ravinder would field against strong contenders from other parties which are officially yet to be announced.
“It is not about winning the elections but about making people aware of the problems of our society”, said Ravinder who has planned to contest without spending huge funds.
“I have started getting calls from NRIs already about me contesting the polls. All I ask NRIs is to request their area acquaintances to cast me a vote. I do not require any funds since I have no plans to distribute money or liquor for getting votes”, added Ravinder claiming money is least important thing required in elections.
Appealing to all segments of the society for votes, Ravinder assures that he would spend all his salary on the education of poor children, if he gets elected as Member Parliament.
Ravinder further informed that he is already getting a positive response from his customers who often visit him to relish the delicacies at his eatery joint famous by the name of Mr Singh food king.
Ravinder is also famous for the efforts that he makes to encourage children for their spiritual growth. He gives away free burgers as a reward to those children who recite the prayers in an appropriate manner.
