Amritsar, April 20, 2019 - Paramjit Kaur Khalra, the Punjab Democratic Alliance (PDA) candidate from the Khadoor Sahib parliamentary seat, a Panthic stronghold which has long been a bastion of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), has become a rallying point for anti-Badal section among Sikhs, the Punjabi diaspora and human rights activists.
Even as Punjab as a whole has not seen a strong third front in this election since the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is a divided house with Sukhpal Singh Khaira having parted ways with it and floated Punjabi Ekta Party (PEP), Khalra certainly has emerged as a third political alternative in this Panthic segment.
