Ludhiana, May 14, 2019: Congress candidate MP Ravneet Singh Bittu addressing 7 massive election meetings organised by Gill MLA Kuldeep Singh Vaid in colonies\ villages on outskirts of Ludhiana falling in his constituency promised that all the colonies\villages within 1km radius of Ludhiana will be brought in the municipal limits within 6 months period and all basic amenities including roads, sewerage, LED streetlights, fully developed parks and play grounds etc will be provided at par with urban areas. Meetings were held in Phullanwal, Basant Avenue, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Himmat Nagar, Mehmoodpura, Manakwal and Bachittar Nagar. The area residents assured Mr. Bittu of a huge victory from this area.
Punjab cabinet minister Mr. Bharat Bhushan Ashu , in an election meeting in Basant Avenue said that Modi,s anti-people policies had destroyed the country and had badly affected all the sections of society hence the people were fully prepared to dethrone Modi government and elect UPA government. He said that Mr. Bittu will win the Ludhiana seat with a record-breaking margin.
Addressing the meetings Mr. Bittu said that after forming government at the Centre, the UPA would start the NYAY scheme across the country under which Rs 72,000 will be directly deposited in the accounts of poor families per year. Besides this, the UPA government will provide free education up to 12 class to all the students from the economically weaker sections and free higher education to the girls of the dalit families. The government will also start free health tests for the poor people.
Mr. Bittu said that PM Modi had stooped so low and had lowered the position of PM’s office. He said that in the country’s history no other PM had used such a filthy language for his opponents like Mr. Modi was using. He said that due to this the people of the country no longer respect him and had made up their mind to through him out of power.
Mr. Bittu said appealed the people to compare his excellent performance as MP with his opponent candidates Mahesh Inder Singh of SAD-BJP and LIP’s Simarjit Singh Bains and use their own conscience to vote. He exuded confidence that seeing his glorious record the people will vote for him only.
MLA Vaid said that there was a huge response in favour of Congress and the area residents were anxiously waiting for the polling day to make Mr. Bittu victorious with a heavy margin.
