Mohali, 24 May 2019: Students of Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri brought honours to this college by bagging a whooping number of 122 positions in recently released Merit Lists of IKG Punjab Technical University April 2018 examinations. These lists carry names of students of various courses who bag first 10 positions in the University. The most remarkable achievement of these students is that at least nine students of CGC Jhanjeri are IKG PTU toppers. The students bagging first position in IKG PTU include Sagar Bathla and Tanisha Singla of 4th semester CSE, Poonam Sharma (6th Semester Fashion Technology), Disha Dhiman, Harsimran Kaur, Rajdeep Kaur, Simranjit Kaur and Tamanna Rana, all of 4th semester Fashion Technology and Shubham of 2nd semester Fashion Technology.
Other 113 students capturing second to tenth position in University belong to different courses like 30 from CSE Deptt (2nd semester 3, 4th semester 20, 6th semester 7), 9 from Civil Engg. (2nd semester 2, 4th semester 2, 6th semester 5), 2 from Mechanical (4th semester), 2 from ECE (4th semester 1, 6th semester 1), 15 from MBA (4th semester 13, 2nd semester 2), 11 from B.Com (4th semester 8, 2nd semester 3), 34 from Fashion Technology (6th semester 6, 4th semester 16, 2nd semester 12), 15 from Agriculture (2nd semester 5, 4th semester 7, 6th semester 3), 2 from BBA (4th semester 1, 6th semester 1) and 2 from BCA (6th semester 1, 2nd semester 1).Congratulating the students for their marvellous achievement, Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC gave the entire credit for this to the hard work of teachers and the students.
