Developing ‘Mini Forests’ concept can save environment to save life
Nawanshehar, June 16, 2019: Developing Mini Forest on the pattern of Pilot Project started at village Dilawarpur can save environment to save life, said environmental lover Ashwani Joshi.
Ashwani Joshi, environment lover and social activist have motivated Panchayati department to start a Pilot Project of Mini Forest in any one of the village and three acres of land in Dilawarpur village was ear marked for the purpose.
DFO Satinder Singh, Block Forest Officer Ravi Dutt and founder of Go Gree Internatinal Organisation visited Mini Forest in village Dilawarpur and expressed satisfaction over the grown saplings planted during the last year.
They said, the success of the Pilot Project proves that in case all the Panchayats start developing Mini Forest in their villages then we can manage to equalize many lost big forests besides balancing the green environment at local levels and safe for number of species.
DFO also visited 100 acre thick forest in village Nilowal and to convert this place in to Nature Park and Picnic Spot was also discussed.
DFO said, the Forest department is making efforts to popularize this forest by keeping it safe so that people of the area especially the students could enjoy the creations of nature.
